So You Want to Teach Your Choir Gospel Music?

Gospel music has rich cultural roots in African American history and has influenced several popular music genres. This workshop will provide practical strategies for engaging students and choristers in rote learning, aural musicianship development, and gospel music performance practices. Stylistic nuances and considerations for repertoire selection will also be discussed. Come prepared to sing!
